Lakme 9 To 5 Primer + Matte Lipstick in M19 Blush Book And MP7 Rosy Sunday: Review, Swatches and LOTD

Hello Everyone,
Lakme has flooded with new launches right now, mostly are
lipsticks. And as a lipstick lover I can’t resist myself to get my hands on
them. First they had launched Budget lip crayons (read review here) and now
they refurbished their 9 to 5 matte lipstick range and has re-launched them
adding in-build primer to the formula and name them primer+ matte lipstick . I
just love their regular 9 to 5 range as they have understated daily wearable
colors, matte and long lasting formula and affordable price tag and now this
range has primer too. There are 30 shades in this range and from those I have
chosen two Blush Book and Rosy Sunday. So Today I will be sharing my review on
Lakme 9 to 5 Primer + Matte lipsticks.

INR: 480/- each for 3.6gm.
Packaging: They keep the rose gold theme on but revamped
them more shiny and glossy. The Lipstick looks super pretty and luxe. They come
inside a rose gold cardboard box which has product detail and price on it. Only
the shade name and number are mentioned on the box as well as the bottom of the
lipsticks, But there is no such color coded thing-y, thus it difficult to choose
the desire shade from pile of lipsticks. Caps shut tightly enough and the
twisting mechanism works perfectly. Overall these have high quality, non-flimsy,
fuss-free packaging.

Blush Book– Not a blush shade at all rather than it is very
pretty bubble gum pink with no shimmer or sheen and that’s a big yay. Ever
since I had tried any bubble gum pink it had shimmers and it looked totally
frosted on me. So having this shade is a dream came true.
Rosy Sunday– It is so stunning dusky rose pink with maroon
undertone. Just love love love the shade. It is the most flattering shade from
the range; the color looks beautiful on every single person. For me, this shade
is pure bliss.

My views

As the formula has primer inside, the texture is creamier,
softer, and smoother than the regular 9 to 5 range. They glide like dream, give
most even finish in one go. Excellent pigmentation, you have to swipe 1-2 times
get full color pay off. The darker shade gives opaque finish in just one swipe.
The formula gives most striking matte finish with no gloss or shine. Despite of
matte formula, they do not dry out lips or sit into lip lines. The primer fills
the gap in lip lines, so the finish appears clean and smooth every time and the
pigment stays for good 6 hours with snacking and munching in between. But if
you have anything oily it totally vanishes off.
The thing that I’m not happy about is the lipstick bullet
has flat top, so it is difficult to fill inner corners and edges of lips.

My Rating: 4.5/5.
Where to buy: You can buy from Nykaa.
Final verdict: It is no secret that I love this formula than
the regular 9-5 range. They are creamy, soft and buttery and in spite of that
give true matte finish. You can choose from 30 different shades variant. So why
are you waiting? Go and get your hands on them. Highly recommend this range to
every lipstick lover.

  1. I have the shade Rosy Sunday and I love it so much and these days I am wearing it a lot… The other shade is kinda washing out… The shades are looking glossy type on your lips but in mine it is fully matte… Might be because of the camera's fault… You are rocking the shades….
