Lakme 9 to 5 Eye Color Quartet in Silk Route: Review, Swatch and LOTD

Hello my pretties!
How are you all? I really don’t know when I become a makeup junkie
and my love for eye makeup is grown insane. I think it grown during my pregnancy
days when I watched makeup tutorial like non-stop, yes it was like ate slept,
watched videos and repeat. Then I started doing some basic eye makeups by
myself. It was Durga puja 2015, when I first did some eye makeup and by then I’m
much into it, following my heart, following my passion. Frankly speaking I didn’t
have any shadow pallet then and Lakme 9 to 5 eye color Quartet in Silk Route was my very first buy. The quad itself is gorgeous, festive and Indian. So take
the nostalgia apart and the start with the review of Silk Route.

INR: Rs.600/-
Packaging: The quad comes in a rectangular plastic case with
see through lid. It contains four super gorgeous shimmery eye shadows along
with a dual sided sponge tip applicator( sadly mine was lost). It also comes
housed in a rose gold cardboard box which provides all the necessary
information related the product.

My view

Silk Route contains a Pale Pink with pearly shimmer, a Bronze Gold, a Pink purple with golden shimmer and a Jewel tone Gray. Every eye shadow has pearly finish and
loaded with shimmers which are not at all chunky. The textures of the eye
shadows are smooth and silky. They are densely packed and loaded with color. Incredibly
pigmented, 1-2 swipes are enough for opaque coverage. I would suggest using a
sponge tip applicator or fingertip to pat the pigment on eye lids to intensify
the color. The eye shadow blends seamlessly and I was really surprised to see
that there was no fall out while applying these shadows.
On my oily eye lid
the pigment stays for 6 hours then start creasing. But a primer underneath would
definitely increase the wear time and prevent creasing.
But I feel that some basic shades are missing like a matte
brown shadow to intensify crease line and a highlighted shade. Overall, the
formula is quite impressive and all of the shades are super gorgeous.

It was my first eye make up on Durgapur 2015

My rating: 4/5.
Where to buy: You can buy it here.
Final verdict: It was my first eye shadow palette and that’s
why I act little partial over it. The color is festive, dazzling and arresting.
Every shades work beautifully on every Indian Skin tones. So I would strongly recommend
this quad to someone who wants to buy a basic festive palette.
