Mama earth Mineral Based Sunscreen for babies : Review

Hello Everyone,
Being a mum I’m always searching for the best and the safest
products for my baby. From affordable to expensive, I tried a lot of brands for
my baby. But the truth is , majority of baby brands available in the Indian
market contain harmful toxin like  paraben, phthalates, fragrances,
mineral oil which no parent would even want anywhere around their child. So since
when I have been using the products of mama earth, my heart said this is it- this
is the brand I had been searching for long. This need not to be said that I am
very much satisfied using the products. So today I’m here with review of another
product by Mama earth, this is their Mineral based sunscreen for babies with SPF 20+.

INR: 299/- for 100 ml.
About the product: It has SPF 20, especially formulated to be no irritate and ideal for baby’s sensitive skin. It is no greasy, non allergenic and can be used every where on the sun exposed skin.

My review on  Mama earth Mineral Based Sunscreen for babies:

Packaging: Sunscreen comes in a very cute white color bottom
and green color cap packaging. Pretty Cartoon with the brand name printed on one side and
other relevant details are printed on the back. The bottle comes with pump
nozzle by which you can easily take out the product without any mess. I really
appreciate pump nozzle especially in baby care products as it helps in
maintain the hygiene.
Color and Smell: The lotion appears cream white in color and
has very nice yet strong fragrance.
Formula and Consistency: Consistency of this sunscreen is
very thick and creamy. It easily blends into the skin. It enrich with the
goodness of Shea butter, wheat germ oil, active mineral and calendula which are
very effective on baby’s sensitive and tender skin. The formula is absolutely
non greasy and it gives a satin matte finish after blending. But I feel that
the lotion is a bit drying on my baby.
My experience on mama earth mineral based sunscreen for baby
with SPF 20:
My baby’s skin loves this sunscreen so much. These days I
like to apply it on my baby’s exposed skin like face, neck and hands. It makes
skin soft and look non oily or greasy after applying. Though I feel that it
leaves a light white cast on my baby’s skin but that is negligible. As it
leaves a satin matte finish I would suggest applying mama earth baby lotion
before. Thus it would be balancing out the moisturization on baby’s tender
skin. It is safe, non-allergenic and toxin free. It doesn’t break out or irritate
my baby’s skin as well.

Final verdict: I never step out home without applying
sunscreen, so I want to do it for my baby as well when she goes out for playing
or walking. So I am searching for a sunscreen specially designed for babies or
infants quite a while. But it is unfortunate that any Indian baby care brand
hardly launched any sunscreen in their baby care range. That one which I got
from a local store is designed for mainly elder children like 5+ ages. Now I
have got some little relief to have Mamaearth mineral based sunscreen for my
baby. The brand says it can be used on new born and infant also. So it is very
much safe and promising. I would highly recommended it to every mommy out there
to give this sunscreen a define go.
