Amara Organix Lavender and Sugar Scrub: Review

Hello Everyone,
Today I’m going to review a
purely handmade product from the brand Amara Organix. I have never heard about
this brand until my blogger bestie Anjali has told me about it. Actually Amara organix is owned by Mehar, an entrepreneur who is passionate about curated amazing
handmade products. She has sent me some of her products for review and I’m
picking the Lavender and rose Sugar scrub for today’s post. So scroll down to
explore the product.

My review on Amara Organix Lavender and Sugar Scrub

Packaging: Sugar scrub comes in transparent plastic jar with metal screw up lid. It has wide opening for which one can easily take
out the product with spoon or spatula. So the overall packaging is sturdy and hassle-free.

Color and smell: The scrub is
lavender in color and has aroma of mix of rose and lavender essential oils
which is very soothing and calming. The fragrance stays for quite long after
bath.

Texture and formula: Texture is
exactly like wet sand and has coarse looking exfoliator in it which feels very scratchy
and gritty. So you have to be very gentle while rubbing it on the skin. It
doesn’t dissolve in water or melts down after scrubbing, doesn’t foam up
either. It easily washes off with pain water.

My experience with Amara Organix Lavender and Sugar Scrub

Amara Organix Lavender and Sugar Scrub review
As nothing is mentioned on the
product I used it in my style in 4 different ways.
First I used it as a simple
scrubber nothing fancy. I’m a person who usually jumps into shower, take a full
spoon of this scrub into palm, mix it with plain water and start scrubbing
gently in circular motion for 3-4 minutes.
My whole bathroom is filled with calming aroma of lavender essential oil
which instantly relaxes my senses.  It
does soften and smoothen my skin post bath. My skin doesn’t feel stretchy or
dry at all rather than well moisturized and hydrated because of the essential
oils.
Secondly I used it mix with curd
and rubbed gently on my skin. It does feel and result the same.
Thirdly I used it as bath salt. I
took a coin sized amount; soak in lukewarm water for some time which released
all the essential oil into the water. Then took bath in it. For me it’s a home
spa kind of thing after a long tiring day.
And lastly I used it as a lip
scrub, mixed it with honey. It smooths out dry patches and remove dead skin
from the lips making it soft, supple and well moisturized ( prep my lips ready
for those drying liquid matte lipsticks).

Pros:

  • Handmade product.
  • 100% natural and chemical free.
  • Contains lavender and rose
    essential oils.
  • Can be used in many ways.
  • Made with quality products.
  • Vegan and cruelty free.
  • Exfoliates well.
  • Budget friendly.
  • Sturdy packaging.

Cons:

  • Not available in the local
    market. (Quite obvious)
  • Doesn’t take out grimes and dirt.
  • One thing I complain about this is
nothing maintained on the packaging.  It
would be great if ingredients and usage direction will be written on a separate
    card or so.

Rating: 4/5.
Final verdict: Overall I like the
scrub not for its calming aroma but also its end result. It gives me soft,
smooth and well moisturized skin at end. And in bonus anyone can use it in many
ways like I did. So for me it’s a total steal in such price tag.

  1. Well a scrub won't cleanse your face from grime and dirt, it only exfoliates after you've cleansed. Overall, I'm liking this product. Checking out the company page 🙂

    1. I'm totally agree with you Soumya. Yes, scrub is actually meant for exfoliating after cleansing and this scrub does it very well. But I actually like those scrub cleanser which exfoliates and cleanse at the same time like the Just herbs one. I haven't get much time to maintain all those rituals, so those scrubs save my times. that's why I complained.

  2. I thought that I might find it on their fb page or internet. But did not find any thing. Yes I feel that I should ask Mehar for the ingredient list. Thank you for that, next time I will keep it in mind.
