Sate Kai with Peanut Butter Sauce: Recipe

Hello Everyone,
I think you all know about my workshop with Ananya’s Multicuisine Restaurant, so here I am sharing the recipe of their one of the most talked about dish: Sate Kai with Peanut Butter Sauce. It is basically a Thai cuisine made with chicken and egg which tossed in sweet and salty peanut butter sauce. To me it tastes heavenly.

For preparing Sate Kai:

1) Chicken- 100 gm (cut it into 8 finger type pieces)
2) Ginger & Garlic paste- 10 gm.
3) Red chilli paste- 5gm.
4) Green chilli paste- 5 gm.
5) Egg- ½ amount.
6) Peanut Butter- 1 table spoon.
7) Corn flour- 5 gm.
8) Refined flour- 5 gm.
9) Refined Oil- 40 ml(for frying).
10) Tooth pick or chopstick- 8 pcs.
11) Salt to taste.
12) Sugar to taste.

Put all the above ingredients except the refined oil and tooth picks in a large bowl and mix properly. Rest these for at least 2 hours in refrigerator. After that balled each chicken piece with each tooth pick or chop stick. Put the oil in a pan and shallow fry them till the chicken get soft. Sate Kai is ready.

Preparing Sate Kai

For preparing Peanut Butter Sauce:

1) Ginger & Garlic finely chop- 2.5+2.5 gm.
2)Peanut Butter- 1 table spoon full.
3) Butter- 2 tea spoon.
4) Lemon Juice- 2ml.
5) Corn Flour- 5gm.
6) Refined Oil- 5ml.
7) Sugar to taste
8) Salt to taste
9) Water as necessary.

Hit a pan and put the butter, then put chopped ginger and garlic into that. Sauté for a minute then add peanut butter, corn flour, sugar, salt into it. Stir it well for some time, and then add lemon juice and little water if the sauce become too thick. Peanut butter sauce is ready now.

Put the Sate Kai into plate, pour the peanut butter sauce on to it. Decorate with crushed peanut and sesame seeds.
Sate Kai is ready to serve.
